Combined Search in Structured and Unstructured Data

A variety of research knowledge is stored in a structured way, such as experiments in a tabular form. However, the majority of knowledge is stored in an unstructured format, e.g. as text documents, publications, diagnosis or tumor reports. Nowadays, researchers face the challenge to identify relevant information sources within a tremendous short period of time.

With the help of the incorporated in-memory database technology, we enable users to identify relevant data from structured as well as unstructured data sources. Our specific database extensions recognize relevant entities within text document and extracts them automatically.

Further details about this technological aspect can be found in our Clinical Trials Search app, which is an application example for the combined search in structured and unstructured data.
