Genetic variation in thisgene influences susceptibility to occlusive vascular disease, neural tube defects, colon cancer and acuteleukemia, and mutations in this gene are associated with methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase deficiency.(providedby RefSeq, Oct 2009)
